JOB ROLE: DEPUTY CARE MANAGER (NURSING HOME)

BEFORE JOINING US AS A CARER IN 2001, DAWN  ALREADY HAD SEVERAL YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A CARER IN ELDERLY CARE HOMES. DAWN STARTED AT ST QUENTIN AS A CARE ASSISTANT BEFORE WORKING HER WAY UP TO HER CURRENT ROLE AS A DEPUTY MANAGER AT THE NURSING HOME IN 2009. SINCE JOINING US, DAWN HAS ACHIEVED A LEVEL 5 IN HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE MANAGEMENT, A LEVEL 3  DIPLOMA IN  HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE, MEDICINES MANAGEMENT, INFORMATION GOVERNANCE, END OF LIFE AND IS A TRAINER IN MANUAL HANDLING AND FIRE.
AS A MANAGER, DAWN IS  A CRUCIAL PART OF THE DAY TO DAY RUNNING OF THE HOME. COMMUNICATING AND LIAISING WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS & FAMILIES, LEADING OUR TEAM OF CARERS, CHEFS & DOMESTICS, MAINTAINING STAFF TRAINING & ENSURING THE HIGH LEVEL OF CARE ALL OF OUR RESIDENTS RECEIVE, IS JUST A SMALL PROPORTION OF DAWNS’ DAY.
DAWN ENJOYS HER  ROLE  AT THE HOME AND MEETING NEW PEOPLE BUT SHE PARTICULARLY ENJOYS THE CHALLENGE THAT THE VARIOUS CHARACTERS STAYING AT THE HOME  BRING AND ENSURING ALL RESIDENTS INDIVIDUAL NEEDS ARE MET AND THAT ALL RESIDENTS HAVE THE BEST CARE PLAN AVAILABLE TO THEM.
